On May 1, 2024, Slovakia will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its entry into the European Union. On May 1, 2004, the Slovak Republic, along with nine other countries, became part of the community, which has had the longest period of peace in Europe since its creation. Slovakia has become an equal partner of the countries that today together with it form the largest trading power in the world and share common values such as freedom, democracy, and solidarity.
