Mountain huts in Slovakia – Low Tatras - Kamenná chata pod Chopkom

We present a new series of 16 medals, on which we will gradually display mountain huts located in various mountains of Slovakia. The second mountain hut from this series is Kamenná chata located below the peak of Chopok on the main ridge of the Low Tatras. It is the third highest mountain hut sitauted in Slovakia after Chata pod Rysmi and Tery’s chata in the High Tatras.

The issue dedicated to the sixth president of the Slovak Republic - Peter Pellegrini. Peter Pellegrini was born on October 6, 1975 in Banská Bystrica. He graduated from the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and the Technical University in Košice.

Plague Columns – stone witnesses of victory over epidemics – Plague column in Trnava

Plague columns are not just works of art. In addition to their artistic value, they also carry a historical legacy. They were often built as a sign of thanksgiving for ending a plague or other epidemic. From this interesting series, we present the next one in a row, this time with the motif of the plague column in Trnava. The medal is interesting not only for its motif, but also for its oval shope. The Plague Column in the Holy Trinity in Trnava is located in the center of St. Nicholas Square in the Municipal Monument Reserve. It was built in 1731 as a memorial to the end of one of the great plague epidemics that gripped the whole of Europe. At the top of the plague column is St. Joseph.

In chronological order, we offer you 15 coins with the motif of scenes from battles and combat encounters in world history. As the XIII. battle, we present to you the Battle of Somme, which is considered one of the bloodiest battles in human history. The Battle of Somme claimed over a million lives and was the first battle fought by a new military invention - the tank. The battle took place during World War I on both sides of the Somme River in France. It was attended by France, along with Great Britain, which attacked Germany, which had taken quite a large part of northern France.

In chronological order, we offer you 15 coins with the motif of scenes from battles and combat encounters in world history. As the XIV. battle, we present to you the Battle of Pearl Harbor, which was carried out by the Imperial Japanese Navy on the United States naval base ,,Pearl Harbor‘‘ in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. This attack subsequently led to the US declaring war on Japan and later actively participating in World War II.
